Avalon Oaks – The Woodlands – Simonton Windows

Replace the existing aluminum windows with Simonton Platinum Double Hung Windows to help with energy efficiency and noise levels.

Many of the original operable windows were replaced with picture windows to expand and enhance the view of the backyard, pool, and patio area.

The primary objective was to reduce the heat load on the back of the house caused by the intense afternoon sun. This was successfully achieved with 1” insulated glass units featuring ProSolar Shade Low-E 366 coating and argon gas, offering excellent energy efficiency and enhanced comfort. A secondary goal was sound control—especially important in a patio home community where neighboring homes are close together. The new windows have made a noticeable improvement in both areas.Located in the City of Shenandoah, the home required building permits, which we assisted the homeowner in obtaining.
